Hello there,
I firmly believe that National Board Certification is a meaningful lever to positively impact students, teachers, schools, and districts. However, only ~3% of teachers are National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTs) — largely because it involves quite a bit of effort, is significantly costly, and isn’t easy to pass.
That's why I'm excited that we recently announced our new, micro-credential based National Board pre-candidacy program. To address the challenges of the certification process, teachers in this program (1) are assigned an NBCT coach to mentor them through the process, (2) work on the skills (micro-credentials) that are needed to excel as an NBCT candidate, and (3) can finance the program fees to align with their raises.
This program is available for individual teachers, but is more impactful as a district implementation to create a pipeline of high-quality educators.
Thanks for taking a look!
